At Pawtuk, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
What data we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, create pet profiles, or book services. This includes name, email, phone, city, and pet medical records. It also includes anything you choose to upload — photos, verification documents — and your location, but only when you actively share it (see "Permissions We Request" below).
Permissions We Request
We only ask for device permissions when a feature actually needs them. Location: requested only when you tap "Use my location" to find nearby pet services — we never track your location in the background or without your action. Camera & Photos: requested when you upload a photo for your pet, your profile, a community post, or — for providers and vets — a verification document; you choose every photo yourself. Storage: used only so you can pick an existing photo or document from your device to upload.
Why we collect data
We use your data to provide our services, facilitate bookings between owners and providers, and improve our platform.
Pet medical information
Health records are stored securely and shared only with veterinarians you explicitly assign to your pet.
Booking & Messages
Messages between you and service providers are stored to ensure safety and facilitate the booking process.
Account Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information.
Cookies
We use essential cookies solely for authentication and session management purposes. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of your personal data, and to withdraw any consent you've given us, at any time. You can close your account yourself from your account's Privacy & Security settings (Delete Account). To have your remaining data deleted, or for a copy of your data or anything else, email contact@pawtuk.com and we'll take care of it — deletion requests are completed within 30 days.
Age Requirement & Minors
Pawtuk is only for users aged 18 and over, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we learn that a minor has created an account or submitted personal data, we'll delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, please contact us.
PDPA Compliance
In compliance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), we ensure your data is processed lawfully and transparently.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data for up to 3 years after account inactivity, after which it is securely deleted. When you delete your account in the app, your account is closed and your sign-in removed immediately. Your other personal data (such as pets, health records, bookings, messages and reviews) is deleted within 30 days of a request sent to contact@pawtuk.com from your registered email address — see pawtuk.com/delete-account. We keep anything we're legally required to keep — for tax, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes — only for as long as the law requires.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to request a copy of your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Third-Party Disclosure
Your data is stored securely using Firebase. Payment information is processed by our certified payment partners and never stored on our servers.
International Data Transfers
Some of our technology partners are located outside Thailand — for example, Firebase and Google Cloud (data storage and hosting), Vercel and Cloudflare (website hosting and security), and Sentry (error monitoring, including occasional anonymized session recordings, so we can find and fix bugs quickly). This means your data may be processed on servers outside Thailand. Wherever this happens, we only work with providers that maintain data protection standards consistent with Thailand's PDPA, and we never sell your data to anyone.
Filing a Complaint
If you're ever unhappy with how we've handled your personal data, please reach out to us first at contact@pawtuk.com so we can try to make it right. You also have the right to file a complaint directly with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC), the government body responsible for enforcing the PDPA.
